I feel hard to justify 45K for 5 year old cars.
At least in Canada, a lightly optioned M240i is easily over $10K more than an OG M2 and is in 2020 M2C territory. Also, my wife and I still prefer a manual car which is not available in the M240i (I actually like the look of them - they kept the wide hips of the M2 - and the option of something other than black for interior is a bonus). That said, I guess there is still an aura around the "real" M cars which helps with desirability (and resale)? Time will tell...
