Pardon the silly question - but if I wanted to reinstall the stock exhaust after removing the mpe, how is this done considering there was cutting initially involved of the stock exhaust for the mpe install?

You could weld it back in. Or you can use the clamp like what comes with the MPE. The latter being the better option IMO. Less work and less mess.
