The one thing that's left to be verified is whether the two valve models are compatible.
The stock M2 uses a single valve that's the same as most non M BMWs so that's what the wiring and DME is set for.
The MPE uses two valves that are the same as stock M3/M4 valves. They look identical but have a different part number.

All that needs to be done is someone plugging the MPE/M3/M4 type into the stock M2 harness and switching the driving mode. It should be fairly safe to do.
If this test works then the Y splitter harness should work.
