M2 will probably be more fun due to the size. Short wheelbase cars tend to be much more lively and responsive than longer wheelbase cars. That being said, it also means shorter wheelbase cars don't absorb bumps as well, so the ride will be harsher. Never driven an M4, but even with the overly stiff stock M2 suspension, it's far better than some other cars I've been in (GTR's specifically, they ride like butt).

M4 will most definitely be nicer inside, since the M2 is the "entry" M car. Better leather and interior materials, I'm sure the door panels are NOT 60% plastic (like the M2) and the dash isn't weird plasticy foam (like the M2), probably more sound deadening, etc. The M2 (in my opinion) does not have an interior to reflect the $60k price tag, but that's not why I bought the car. It's nice, just not $60k nice.
