Just got back from a test drive, told the salesperson that I was underwhelmed with the power. I was told that they plug something into OBD port and unlock full power at the break-in service.

Sounded reasonable to me, but everyone on these internet forums is calling bullshit.

Does anyone have any actual information about this? Before/after dyno would be interesting and more convincing than a bunch of internet experts incorrecting each other.

I found this, which seems to agree with the "bullshit" angle: https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1544580

Also found this, which seems entirely reasonable:https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...9&postcount=12
