I'm 60 in a couple of months and wasn't on (nor interested in) FB till I joined ///M Club AU and DriveMasters (which I only learned about at the BMW track day), now add Sydney M2 group & a couple of other closed groups.
I suspect those 'ol timers' don't know that if you limit yourself to 'closed' groups your profile is really nothing more than a name and any details you choose to make public.
I was a little hesitant initially, not interested in groups that either just cruise/show/shine or behave badly (race/burn-outs/drift on public roads), but have to say the driving & social activity with those 3 groups I've mentioned have been a highlight of owning the car.
