Today was Destin, FL to Lafayette, LA. We start with the usual coffee run and actual run.





The original plan was to make it to Beaumont, TX, but I was too tired to go that far and the car might have too many miles for break-in to be done that far out. I had appointments for break in services at each city and decided on Lafayette after looking at the mileage. Drive started on the Emerald Coast in heavy winds. Took a month for me to get all the tiny white sand out of the car!







Then almost all I10 through Alabama, Mississippi and into Louisiana. The bridge through the Atchafalaya swamp was interesting, despite the low speed limits. Swamp, swamp and more swamp. Pulled into Lafayette late in the day and ready for dinner.
