Stripping threads during the install really isn't the intercoolers fault. I don't think I've ever read or heard of anyone else having this particular problem.

Yea I haven't either, but all it takes is 1 time for those plastic threads to be ruined. It's not like you can chase plastic threads like you can with metal.
