True, not all of those in question are 'flipped' orders but, if I rem correctly, it seemed like they're all earlier builds. Who knows what BMW is doing - maybe they're building all early US MY2018 cars that way until all the 'flipped' orders are filled?
Not sure what to expect, but best guess is that those who have 552 on their order sheet sans Exec Pkg will find the adaptive headlights (w/hex coronas) on their cars, and those who don't have 552 or Exec will get the std headlights that look pretty much like last year's. Not that it's a big deal, but certainly a curiosity.
