I'm surprise the bezel even separates from the main unit; some dudes in the 2er section had attempted to replaced that same exact piece because the pre-LCI F22 was flat-black and not glossy, as the M2, which they claimed that the trim couldn't be removed, without incidental damage..

Also, I do know if you have replace any of the HVAC or radio controls, the entire vehicle needs to be programmed, in order to sync with the new part. Which means losing all your saved coding.
Now that's the real drag there, not some cosmetic scratches on the trim, IMHO..
