OP, you are a good dad! It would break my heart to sell mine but I would in a second if it was needed to help my kids. Having said that this will be a tough sale to pull off. There are far less buyers in the market now than perhaps any time in history. A buddy of mine sold a 2017, DCT, exec, xpel etc with 6,000 miles for 42k in March. It took him about 4 or 5 months to sell it and things have changed a lot since March.
I sold my X3 to Carvana recently because 4 cars for 1 driver is a bit much. Their offer was 4k less than late January when I first considered selling it. That is substantial.
