Please read above about using the suction cup once only on a different wheel to the one that has had the badge decal fall off.
My BMW parts guy has seen it loads he told me, so not isolated. If anything you've been lucky, perhaps. Who knows.

I think some 3M tape would be good repair material, nice and thin stuff of course.
