Did mine using kubax86 tool and code yesterday morning and am totally happy with the results.

I did have to update my I-Step from F020 17-11-530 to F020 19-07-539 (NBTevo M to R) in order to be compatible. I used E-Sys to do this and it was pretty painless, taking 49 mins total.

One thing to keep in mind is that whatever PC you use to activate using kubax86' tool needs to have a connection to the car with an E-Net cable (Ethernet) as well as an Internet connection, which would probably be WiFi.

I'm a Mac user and do everything Windows in a Parallels virtual machine. Parallels VMs only have 1 network interface by default so that caused a problem for me initially. It's not a difficult problem to solve, or an unfair ask of the tool, but something to be aware of if you're getting ready to do this.
