I'm running the Federals right now, mostly because they were cheap and I could care less about chasing lap times until I can out perform my tires. They work well for me, I have yet to hit any traction issues.
Keep in mind, I'm at about a novice/intermediate level right now. Someone whose an expert level may hit the limits a lot sooner than I would.

I have approximately 15 years of track experience, hence my desire for a bulletproof tire like the NT01. I hear mixed reviews about the Toyo R888R.
