minor update: I was able to re-flash GHAS by using a previous day's TAL file. This time it finished with no errors. However, after I coded F87GTS I got a "Rear Axle Differential Lock" error on iDrive when i started the car. I cleared the code but it keeps coming back as soon as i start the car.

I changed the coding back to F87 but the error persists. I'll take it for a longer drive and see if it clears on it's own.

EDIT: Solved! let the car sit for a while and took it on a short drive. Re-coded GHAS to GTS spec. No errors and no codes.
