Pretty sure the glove box USB is just to upload songs to vehicle hard drive, can't be used as a regular usb like the one in the arm rest. It's that way in my F30, correct me if i'm wrong if it's not like that for the 2 series. |
M2ME2, I just read in this forum in the 3 series threads that someone had the same issue. he brought it to the attention of his dealership and I think they configured the USB or software incorrectly.
The dealership fixed it and now both his USB plugs function identically.
I'll try to find the thread.

Sorry, I think I misread. I think you're right, seems like the glove USB is only for loading songs to the HD or attaching a music player?
