Trying to better manage OBD Agent updates and installs for those using laptops by creating an actual installer for it which should manage all updates going forward. This way users don't need to worry about Java JDK downloading or worrying about the version of it as it seems inevitable that it'll come up and some end up stuck spinning tires going nowhere (and we don't want to spin tires unless we really want to spin them ).

I'm evaluating a version of an installer tool and put together installers for both Windows and Mac for those that'd like to try it out.

If this works out well the manual agent.zip downloadable will be gone and the installer/app will replace it. It will check for updates in the background and download them automatically like other apps out there do. You can also uninstall the agent like any other app on your windows or mac and have a proper icon for it making management of this easier for those less tech savvy.

Here's a link to the new beta macOS installer:

It now bundles the appropriate version of Java inside the installer as well and no separate download will be necessary for anyone downloading this fresh to a new laptop mac or windows.

Please let me know if/when you get a chance to try it out if any issues at all.
