Same for me, the CF ones ended up being cheaper than any metal ones on offer.
They also blew air into the hat more than any of the other designs and retained most of the backing to protect the susp. Bushings.
Not worried about the CF catching fire. If that happens you probably had way worse problems going on. CF also does not ignite that readily from my quick search.
