You are correct sir. Max temp of XP10 is 1400F and they leave deposits over that. Cooling would have helped, but i was lazy so I went for xp 12s instead, which are good up to 2000F.
Based on my last 2 track days in the M2 it seems like it could also use brake cooling. Any reasonable kits out there?

I ran XP12's on my EVO X with a fully ducted backing plate setup for cooling. It nearly doubled the front pad life of the 12's. The car weighed 3550 with me in it. Do some searching and you will find backing plates for the M2. Then its just finding a way to get clean air into a NACA duct setup. I'll be rigging something up by this fall for sure.....
