I am a big fan of BMW OE M wheels. I hit so many of the craters they generously call potholes in the NJ/NY metro area with my Z4M and never damaged a wheel. I'm not sure that is a forged wheel either, though I never checked.
Strangely enough, I have known a number of people with standard series BMWs having multiple bent or cracked wheels in the same period of time. I wonder if BMW specifies them differently? Could be just luck, though.
My neighbor is still on original E46 ZCP wheels too.
