Indeed, I coded an M235i (uk spec) to disable it.
Basically there is a flag for automatically enabling stop start upon engine start. Some markets as have this flag set to "active" - such as your M2.

Take a look at the cheat sheet, the flag(s) for auto stop start are within the FEM_BODY module (Row 63 on spreadsheet).
You'll need to source the latest software from those links and follow the guides.
