Things will stay open, but even minimizing social contact will have huge economic impacts. Imagine you work from home, and now you aren't getting that morning coffee, or going out for lunch and then maybe a beer after work, buying gas. My travel expenses every week for work are about $2000+, so that gets sucked out of the economy, as an example. You get the idea.
Speaking of gas, the M2 is empty. I better go get some.
