Yes agreed. Dealers do not know how to spec cars.

You can also spec the car as late in the process as possible and then save a few bucks. I specked one of the last build 3CS cars, agreed to MSRP and put a deposit down. By the time car came in (Nov 2018) discounts on existing showroom floor cars were everywhere. My dealer knocked $11k off my price without me really trying. Got best of both - my spec and $ savings.

No more room or money for cars but otherwise I'd take a M2 CS with 6MT and CCBs and no other options.

BTW - Your white E92 was the cleanest spec I've seen in a long time.
