We did not use aluminum sheet, thus the structural mass is different from the OEM's thin metal sheet and we can say that the 6061 T6 aluminum braces are stronger.
You are correct only if we have made the braces with the exact same shape and structural mass out of aluminum. However, you are looking at a product milled from a full 6061 T6 billet aluminum, which is completely different.
Forged carbon fiber is more ideal, but the investment and product costs will be much higher, I don't think people will want to pay $1000 for these in forged carbon fiber...
