Has anyone tried stickier tires in stock sizes rather than just fatter rubber?

I'd like to flash the M4 CS tune but will definitely need to address the lack of grip in stock form.

I track this car occasionally and it would be great just to use a set of 437M with something like an R888 in stock section width.
