I just got the Veepeak OBD Bluetooth adapter ( https://amzn.to/2OLXzyN ). I was wondering if anyone has used this one yet. It got high ratings on Bimmercode website. It's like 28 bucks normally but I was lucky when I went to buy it they had a lightning deal on amazon for this yesterday and was 22 bucks! Good timing!

I had the old Vgate iCar 2 before which relied on wifi. This one seems much better using Low Energy Bluetooth. Supposed to have a faster transfer rate and more reliable.

Bimmercode also highly recommended the Kiwi 3 OBD adapter ( https://amzn.to/2vVhfcK ) but that one is 98 bucks. Is the Kiwi 3 worth the extra 70 bucks over the Veepeak? Anyone have experience with both and can discuss how they compare?

I'm getting ready to code my son's '18 3 series!

Also after coding should I always go in and clear out all error codes as a best practice? I think I did this last year on my X5 but wasn't sure if same applied on newer 3 series. If clearing codes is necessary should I do it after all coding is complete or do it after each module is coded? Or is it ok either method? Thanks.
