Mine is same with BMW performance valence.
At first it bothered me. Now, not so sure I want to screw around with it. Mine was installed by a top notch restoration shop so I am assuming they could not do much more with it than how it was installed w/o going to modifications.
Keep in mind, there have been some "melted" valences from owners who are tracking their cars .
2 photos attached--white car is mine, red car is the "donor" of the Dinan system. Angle of photo may be affecting view of spacing BUT neither setup seems too tight to valence. It also looks like the whole valence is tighter to body on white car making the spacing greater to pipes.
