I will tell you this: earlier this year, I was in an autocross that took place at an ambient temp of about 40f, with a feels like in the low 30s. One of my competitors on 4Ss had grip my RE-71s could only dream of. My impression is that the 4S has a wider operating temperature range than anything in its class.
