I figured it would take more time to remove the tips and install them after painting than simply taping them. Taping them quicker for me. |
I agree, don't have to remove the tip as long as you cover them well. First time I painted mine right after I picked up my car last Oct I just covered with gloves. However few weeks back ordered new BMS tips, and spayed WD40, and pulled it off without using any tools. I repainted with different brand and so far holding off well. I have few pics in page 56.
