The CF backing plate replaces the stock backing plate, and the two hoses are directed into the eye of the rotor, not onto the rotor itself. I blew air into the front of the car and could feel it coming out of the vents in the rotor, so it works. I'll try and get a pic of the CF backing plate and post it.
