I had this happen with a state parks pass, there was not enough space to get it out no matter what we tried. I made a thread about it back in March to try and help warn other M2 owners and it seemed to be a common issue, the thread was later consolidated into another larger thread by the mods.

I had a windshield replacement and asked the guy to look for it and he couldn’t see it, it was already too far down the dash.
Ironically, What finally got it out was an autocross event! First run and I felt something in the footwell. After reaching the staging area I look down and sure enough it had gone all the way through and fallen out thanks to being shaken around on track.
