Back to stock exhaust

Hello everybody I just went from an mpe to stock exhaust on my 2018 m2 and it is a night and day difference for the better(in my opinion). I picked up a gently used stock exhaust for a very good price from a fellow forum member. Now the exhaust note is that perfect, tasteful, 6 cylinder sound BMW is known for. With the mpe, it was just loud all the time with earsplitting drone from ~ 2700 to ~ 3500 rpm in all gears. The lack of resonators allows resonance at a frequency I cannot bear and It was incredibly awful on the highway even with sonic filters.

Periodically I would have to down shift into 5th gear on the highway to avoid aural fatigue. Now, no more sonic filters needed and no more aural fatigue, I can hear my music on the highway and I can drive with my windows down in the city. Also, I no longer startle children and the elderly with my exhaust startup cacophony. I was thinking of adding insulation and all that, but swapping exhaust was an easier fix.

In conclusion, for all those people who find the drone unbearable or are sensitive to that particular frequency, swapping back to stock exhaust fixes it completely. I have not noticed any acceleration differences either. I do not track it however, I daily it. I am 1000% saitisfied!
