Im tempted to do dct as I am going to have this as a backup dedicated track car/backup mommy car.

It's why I went DCT as my wife will sometimes drive it and she's not as confident with the manual. Also I drive my current DCT F80 in manual mode and love it. It's very different to an auto box. I'm always surprised to hear about DCT drivers who never take it out of Auto drive mode. |
Agreed on that, it is surprising. In my E46 I always drive it in manual mode. Shrugs...
