So this week I was driving my manual 20 year old WRX around for a few days. I enjoyed it so much I started to second guess my choice of DCT on the M2cs.
Then I returned to my M2C and fell in love with the DCT again.
In short, I really don't think you can go wrong with either choice.
Both are special in that this is the first CS available with a manual and the last M car available with a DCT. I'd bet heavily that the next M2cs will only be available with the slush box.
