It might be fine. I'm really not that picky. I'll drive it as is for a while. My 92 325i was fine and fun. It was a little rubbery, but as long as you aren't banging gears it's no big deal. My first instructed track days I was asked why I was shifting so fast and told to slow it down. Super quick shifts are only necessary when chasing the last bit of track time capability. I think it was worth a second at Hockenheim. Absolutely meaningless for me.
