I actually took the car straight to a protective film dealer for its first outing. They applied the XPel ultimate plus product which in theory is supposed to be self healing. In addition the the whole front, hood, fenders, windshield posts and first part of the roof, they applied it to the bottom of the front spoiler lipp. I'll let you know eventually how much protection this film offers from scrapes however I am at ease now that I know that the car is somewhat protected from nicks, scrapes and scratches.
