Same for Belgium and several other countries.

If you manage to visit Germany despite the travel ban (that could be extended): currrently, Germany expects 60% to 70% of its population to get infected with the coronavirus. That's about 50 to 58 million Germans. Not my words or those of some fake news website, but those of the widely respected #1 politician of Germany, informing her population in her genuine, composed, hallmark no-nonsense style (see here). Earlier this week I heard from a Parisian acquaintance that Paris is expecting a 70% infection rate. And in Italy, the situation in hospitals in Lombardy appears to be outright dramatic. Same situation is developing in several hospitals in Spain.

It won't take long before the US grasps - at last - the magnitude of the catastrophic situation. All it will take is just a reality-check, true facts knocking some sense into people's minds: people getting sick and people dying. Things may seriously spiral out of control if folks remain in a state of (partial) denial.
