Have you tried going into the Bluetooth settings, on the car, for your device, and unchecking the "apps" box?
This will cause you to lose any other fancy app integration (like Spotify or Pandora via the little "App" on the car that talks directly to the phone), but it should stop the Connected app from being stupid. You can still stream from Spotify or Pandora (or whatever) back to the car via Bluetooth, and transport controls (next/prev/play/pause) should still work too (those are part of the normal Bluetooth standard)... the only thing you lose is the fancy "integration" junk.
I had to turn it off because the Connected app
on the car kept launching and trying to get me to navigate to a destination that I had already "pushed" to the car (by using the Connected app on my phone!) like 2 months ago.
