About 3 weeks back, I noticed my Connected app was starting every time it connected to my car. For me, that is totally annoying. The way I use the app it's to do stuff when I'm NOT in the car.

I called the Genius crew and the lady asked me to update iDrive via the options button and try reinstalling the app itself (on my Samsung Galaxy S5).

I tried both and no change. Oddly, I'd been chasing a problem with my media volume turning all the way up on my phone by itself, like every 20 minutes. THAT was making me nuts. Reinstalling Connected made that stop. Crazy.

That led me to call the genius crew one more time. The guy I got said yeah, the last update that went out caused that bug. It was unintentional and they're aware. My ver is: 5.0.0.4074. He said it'd be fixed in the next release, but he couldn't tell me when that would be.

I guess I'll live with it for a bit. If it's too long I'll uninstall it until a new version is out there.
