Simply removethe trim, unscrew the bolts on the old screen, remove power/display cable and do inverse installation with the new screen
Once you've done that, enter bimmercode and find the two options. (Bear in mind, last time I did it the options where hidden on a long misc list, so if you don't find them, keep looking).
Once you've changed the two options, press code, wait for the car to switch off and on, and then new screen should work.

Yesterday I got my OBDLink MX+.
What I got information about my car. It´s HU_NBT and I found :
Display size resolution : 10,25_1280x480
Display variante: Schmales_display.
I´m surprised about resolution that show 10.25... because my screen is 6.5. But it works on my 6.5
So I wonder if I only need change display variante to breites_display?
