usa is one of the cheapest places to buy cars and a lot of fake it like you make it types and lease offers.

a 488 costing $250k here would be $900k in singapore and you need a coe certificate which is like a taxi medallion allowing you privilege to drive. the cost is based on engine size, etc but for a 488 you are looking at $80k a year.

that means if you keep the car for 5 years, you would have paid $400k just for the coe. these certificates are often traded like any other bullion over there in addition to parking spaces and license plates.

also financing in asia is very strict. for a large purchase like this you are likely needed to put 50% down and the highest term bank would allow is 60 months.
so your looking at $450k down and $7.5k+interest for 60 months if you needed to finance, although most just pay in full.

don't even get me started on me owning my dream house on the peak which goes for $150k+ per sq/ft
