I know you aren't asking but I would in a heartbeat reduce the spacer to 5mm before reducing the tire size. I can't comprehend a performance reduction and new-found stretch look associated with the 235 being a better alternative than simply reducing the spacer by 5mm.
Thanks. I am not going with the 235 but will raise the car a few mm instead. The rubbing is due to the winter 245 being taller than the summer 245 so 5mm spacers would not help anyway.
