Its funny they remind me of the old Yoko A048's which were unbearable on the street and sucked even more for track work...
One hell of a autocross track tire if you can tolerate the noise. I wish they made the BFG Rival 1.5's in more sizes for our cars. Those are really quiet, ride better and perform just as well as the RE71R's

Yeah, it’s pretty bad.
I wouldn’t call the Trofeo R a bad ass track tire, but I was shocked at how comfortable and quiet it is relative to its grip.
