Sweet this brought back memories. I grew up in a muscle car family (Mopars, Pontiacs, etc) and was dreaming of the WS6 Trans Ams during this era while I was in high school. My good friend was a mechanic at a Mercedes dealership and the used lot got one of these in, less than a year old. He talked about it for a few days then one day at lunch he showed up in it and said he took the key while sales staff wasn't looking and we had to go quick. That car made me decide BMWs were awesome. When I finished schooling 10 years later and could afford nice new cars, Pontiac was gone but BMW was there and I've owned one ever since.
