From what I can gather from other posts, with no TPMS you can still turn DSC full off, but end up with comfort mode steering and throttle response. Can anyone confirm from actual experience?

This is definitely true for pre-LCI. I’m guessing it’s the same for LCI.
I think it would be tolerable for an MT car. I actually like comfort steering and throttle for more variable input, but it makes the shifting super slow on a DCT car.
