I know the F90’s came with 255’s but I’ve read threads where they started putting 265’s on the front & 295’s on the rear. I’ve seen several F87 owners post that it fits fine too. I ran 265 on 9" for years, so yes it absolutely works.
But a slightly wider rim is better. Better steering response. And possibly (depending on a lot of other things) less shoulder wear when on racetrack.
