I figure the really cheap ones are cheap for a reason but there are many for around $54k so the difference between them is now well under the $10k it used to be.

Presumably it's supply vs demand, and I'm battling between going for an OG M2 now vs. waiting until the M2C prices are within reach (my budget is around $48k max)

I've been trawling through the comparison threads and am not looking to start another one here as both are clearly great cars (especially need to ignore the videos that keep romanticizing how much better the M2C feels - I've heard enough from all of you to know the difference isn't that great especially the handling). I'm just torn as the price jump to an M2C is getting smaller... is anyone else seeing the same?

I've been following since end of 2019 as well.

I'm pulling the trigger on a 2018 LCI 6MT w/ under 8k miles for $47k. Over 2 years of warranty remain. I've spent alot of time debating with myself on if it would be worth it to just buy a new 2020 M2C if I could get one in the mid 50s...then I decided I could enjoy the LCI and the N55 exhaust notes for a couple of years, trade it in, and then enjoy an M2C. Then I get to experience the best of both worlds

But it really depends which car you prefer, what you value most (extra warranty, exhaust note differences, cosmetics, etc), and how long you plan to keep the car. Either way, there is no wrong answer as long as you end up with a car that you enjoy driving.

Would love to know what you end up deciding...
