I don't know about the USA, but all the July/August cars from Canada came without it and they all got it added on after in September. I assumed the same is going on for the USA.
Exactly why I opened this thread, to see who from Canada had this done and how did they go about it.

I have reached out to BMW Geniuses 3 times and the last time was to tell them Canada confirmed this was being done and their response was posted earlier here. They basically said it was not available at the moment.
They are "geniuses" after all...doesn't surprise me one bit.

The definitive word I got is that this feature is available to be retrofitted to all CDN and US cars built in the timeframe of July/August that didn't come factory enabled.
Yet nobody at BMW USA knows about this nor how to perform it, local dealer is clueless also.

Bimmerpost has more knowledge and information then some dealers smh..
