That sounds like a simple straightforward and cheap solution. I'd love to hear what it sounds like. Drone doesn't worry me much because I never take motorway trips. Presumably one could just disconnect (or cut ?) the pipes before the muffler and, if you find it too loud or have trouble with the police, just stick the muffler back on. Saves $ 3000
