But like BK said, nobody's going to let you "try" their car unless you're looking to buy. And by what you say you don't seem to be giving out that vibe.
Oh, and BTW, if they won't let you take a test drive, just turn and walk away. If you HAVE given them ample reason to take you seriously, they won't let you leave.
Personally, I ain't spending $20K on a car without driving it first.
